Identified Landing Object (aka Project 2020) is a design study about an “unidentified aerial phenomenon,” or an UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) in a commonly known term. This project was inspired by Project 1794, a human attempt to create a supersonic flying saucer in the 1950s. Project 1794, which is now declassified, was halted due to then technological limits despite the bold attempt.

Identified Landing Object probes into a popularly consented form of an UFO, a flying saucer, and transforms it to be a sitting and shelving object for terrestrials. It lands around public/private domains such as libraries, bookstores, schools and etc, functioning as a round bench with book shelving.
