Information travels through the metro highway.

The urban transit system is highly integrated elsewhere now. Roads, metro lines and railways are interconnected for a daily commute in the cities. Its transit system is "a living organism" that responds to commuters' everyday life and grows smarter.

The metro highway bookshelf represents an organic amalgam of the metro grids and roads. Shanghai metro map was selected and transformed into a bookshelf form. Tire marks were applied to its floor skins, which then imply the road surface. The intrinsic geometry of the metro lines provides voids for books and etc. Each void is uniquely formed as lines merge and interact each other. Tire marks add dynamic flows and aesthetic pleasure to the metro grids.
