"Khonsu gently appears above the Moon temple when Ra retreats below the Pyramids,"

Ra and Khonsu is a luminaire project for residential/commercial interiors. It explores the ancient Egyptian myth and its deities, Ra (the God of the Sun) and Khonsu (the God of the Moon) in particular. Ra is believed to be a solar deity that played a central role as a mighty creator in the ancient Egyptian kingdom. The pharaohs often claimed themselves as the Son of Ra as a way to authenticate their ruling. Khonsu is known to be a lunar deity and traveller due to the Moon's celestial travel at night. He is also called, "Pathfinder," helping people to guide their passage during night.

Ra and Khonsu attempts to reinterpret each deity in contemporary design language by utilizing brass and LED bulbs. For example, Ra is designed to capture the rays of the Sun around the light source, which also implicates the shape of the deity's headdress. Khonsu is designed to re-configure a Moon disc that the deity carries above his head.
